this game on the other hand is cheap has great graphics comparatively and longer gameplay, some of the levels have different objectives than just killing all the other vehicles. That's a pretty hard game to get your hands on these days at least if you're looking to buy one at a used game store and it's going up in price. I've always been a big fan of twisted metal my favorite was by far twisted metal 2. If you're a twisted metal fan from back in the PSX days then you'll enjoy! Really good game, haven't finished it yet but it seems to be quite long. Overall a good game that just needs some patches. It is very hard on most difficulties and the trophies are not easy to obtain. Not the best game ever, but a decent one that was worth the money. The story has no mention of previous games existing and makes it seem that this is a new start to the series. This was solved by making the powerful vehicles locked until you achieve certain XP. The vehicles are well balanced but some are better than others. There are 17 playable vehicles and 3 bosses. The size prevents spawn trapping and allows you take breaks or find weapons. The maps are pretty big, with the thrills and spills theme park being the largest. I think you can import your own music into the game, but i haven't tried to. Some songs are great like Rob Zombie and Avenged Sevenfold, while others are terrible. During all matches, music from the soundtrack will play loudl y. I love the ability to customize each vehicle in game and on the Twisted Metal website. You can also do the campaign split-screen. I like the new features like snipers, alternate specials, and a helicopter. Each character goes through levels with certain twists like electric cages and juggernauts. There are only 3 characters and you play each of their campaigns in a certain order.
The campaign isn't like previous Twisted Metal games. The game had a little bit of problems at first, but after I deleted and reinstalled the patches, it worked fine. I bought this game because I've always been a fan of the series. Good game, worth the money but has some flaws.
